Deanna James has practiced residential real estate full time in and around Austin, Texas, for over 10 years. She holds a BS in Speech from the College of Communications at the University of Texas in Austin, and is a member of the Austin Board of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. She also was awarded the following designations: Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) and Master Certified Negotiations Expert (MCNE). Her clients are primarily referred by past clients, and she has had the honor of representing a number of Realtors, their previous clients and families.

Deanna has lived in south, central and Northwest Austin over the course of 20 years, after moving here from Houston in 1990. Prior to her real estate career, Deanna worked over 10 years in advertising project management (GSD&M, Leo Burnett, The Olson Group), visual merchandising (Urban Outfitters, Saks Fifth Avenue), and represented an acclaimed fine artist (Roi James). Her combined expertise brings a distinct advantage when advising, marketing and negotiating on behalf of buyers and sellers, alike. Her hobbies are constantly changing, and have included: all kinds of partner dancing, volleyball, oil painting, drawing, piano, decorating, buying and selling vintage furniture, knitting, 3-par golf, various arts and crafts, photography and running.
